Your profile

Profile holds who you are and how the app behaves for you.

Personal details

Your first and last name, username, job title, and profile photo. Names are optional and clearing one is allowed.

Your email address cannot be changed, by anybody. It is what you sign in with, what an invite was addressed to, and what every notification goes to. Changing it in place looks like editing a field and is really moving an account to a different person, with no trail saying so. Sending an unchanged email back is ignored rather than refused, so saving the form does not fail.

Time zone

Your time zone decides two different things:

  1. How dates and times are shown to you
  2. When your scheduled reports are sent

That second one is why it is a stored setting rather than something read from your browser. The server sends the reports, and a server cannot see a browser.

If you have never chosen one, Sekee adopts the zone your browser is in the first time you sign in, so the field shows the zone it will actually use.

:::note Recently changed The field used to offer Automatic, which stored nothing — and nothing meant UTC to the part of Sekee that sends reports. So the page could name Europe/Zagreb while the daily report went out at 16:00 UTC, two hours late for most of Europe. There is one stored zone now. If your instance still shows an "Automatic" option, it predates the change, and picking a real zone is worth doing. :::

Password and two-factor

Change your password from here; you need your current one.

Two-factor authentication is available from the Starter plan upwards.

Behaviour

Settings → Behaviour holds small interface preferences — such as whether the sidebar collapses while you are editing. They are per-user and per-device-independent: set once, and they follow your account.

Keyboard shortcuts

Settings → Shortcuts lists every shortcut, and gives you a few seconds between keys for the chorded ones. Worth reading once if you spend your day in the step editor.
